RINGERS #397

CURATED COLLECTION

DMITRI CHERNIAK

Dmirti Cherniak is a Canadian artist who began his involvement in crypto in 2014, implementing Coinbase’s tripping widget to enable crowdfunding for Bitcoin journalism. The first NFT he minted was in 2019 for Jake Brukhman on OpenSea. He has since created a unique p5js script stored on Ethereum via ArtBlocks which allows the automated production of a unique generation of art. Cherniak is most commonly known for his Ringers series which consisted of 1,000 NFTS, utilizing different combinations of string and peg layouts to create unique geometric works of art without human interaction.

RINGERS

There are an almost infinite number of ways to wrap a string around a set of pegs. On the surface it may seem like a simple concept but prepare to be surprised and delighted at the variety of combinations the algorithm can produce. Each output from 'Ringers' is derived from a unique transaction hash and generated in Javascript in the browser. Feature variations include peg count, sizing, layout, wrap orientation, and a few colorful flourishes for good measure.
